Fairchild

so, it says here that my band name is fairchild. i guess it kinda is. i mean, my name is shelly fairchild and i am the band. i live in nashville, tennessee, but i'm really from mississippi...and yes, mississippi is in my soul. ok, so my story is this....i grew up in a singing family. i got a fake guitar when i was about 7 years old and i thought i was somethin. all i ever wanted to do was sing, so that's what i set out to do with my life. i moved to nashville in hot pursuit of super-stardom . i was fortunate to sign a recording contract with columbia records and make an album called "ride." with that debut record, i toured with lots of acts, such as: rascal flatts, john fogerty, keith urban, wynonna, travis tritt, martina mcbride, brad paisley, big &rich, sugarland, and more). having co-written a few songs on my first record, and becoming increasingly interested in the art and the soul-searching part of songwriting, i came off of the road and began working on the next project. which brings us to now. lately, i've been writing a lot and hangin in the studio, anticipating the next phase of my life. changin directions from the last record, this one will bring you a very different side of me. having a hand in writing almost every song, there is a new honesty in this second record that will let you know a little bit more about who i am. me, shelly fairchild. if you stay in touch, i'll keep you posted on how, when and where to get it! hope you like what you hear............peace -shelly*
